I really don't know how to change this, except for more scav spawns and maybe buff the loot in some places, but other than that I really do not know. In Shorelines' case, once everyone is at the Resort, the map is pretty much empty. Interchange has a similar problem, but that map forces more PvP fights anyways, because of its layout and PoI plus it has a Scav boss. For such a large map that is really weak. One at the gas station, 2-3 at the pumping station, one at the treasure island and if you get lucky one or 2 in the village. There are a lot of quests, that require you to kill lots of scavs on Shoreline, but that is very hard when there are only like 5 scavs on the map at the start. Shoreline has long ranges sure, but with all the hills and slopes everywhere it get very difficult getting good snipes on people.Īnd to top it all of, the scav spawns are not good at all. Reserve has the roof-to-roof firefights, woods has really good sniping positions and Interchange has its big open rooms and hallways which enable longer range fights. Shoreline also has the weakest long range combat in the game. The weather station isnt very worth it, the pumping station is only viable once you get a key through a quest for it, the gas station is on fire and will almost kill you and the treasure island is very underwhelming as well. The building at the pier is alright, since there are a lot of PCs in there and the luxury houses that you need a key for, but that is about it. Anything else on the map is really not worth going for. Also you don't need what feels like 100 different keys, just to get into the good loot rooms. Customs has the same problem, but that map has a Scav boss and is about a third of Shoreline in size. ![]() Shoreline is this weird combination of Woods' long range gameplay, but with somehow worse layout and close range combat similar to Factory or Customs dorms, but even more enclosed and claustrophobic.Ĭouple that with very few scav spawns, compared to other maps, taking years to get anywhere interesting, since the map is so huge and really boring points of interest excluding the Health resort. And this has been apparent since Reserve was released.
